Mmmm...Taste, sacrifice, playing and self-trust.

Things to make you go Mmmm…

"To encourage creativity by sharing more inspiration than any electronic artist.”

Three thoughts for your creativity and one on mine.

3 for you:

What makes it you.

Choose taste.

Taste is having the conviction to do something the algorithm wouldn’t.“ - Chris Williamson

Worthwhile sacrifices.

"Why is improvement hard?

Part of the issue is everyone wants to improve, but nobody wants to destroy. Change often requires destruction. Or, at least, unlearning.

Let's call it gentle elimination. You may have to leave little habits, update current beliefs, eliminate comfortable patterns. When you want better outcomes, your daily norms may need to change. The process of improvement is not just about adding things you like.

Sometimes habits and patterns belong to who you were, not who you are trying to be. If you'd like something better, then a routine you are comfortable with may have to die." - James Clear

Play on.

"Childhood may be defined as the age of play; therefore some children are never young, and some adults are never old." - Will Durant

1 from me

Self-Trust Changes Everything.

“Confidence is easy to misunderstand.

We think we need to feel confident before we act.

But confidence comes and goes. Some days you feel capable. Other days you question everything.

Self-trust is different.

Self-trust is knowing that whatever happens, you'll handle it.

You trust yourself to make the decision.

To learn from the mistake.

To keep going when things get difficult.

To figure things out when the plan falls apart.

You don't need to know exactly what will happen.

You need to trust the person who will deal with it.

And that trust isn't built by positive thinking.

It's built through evidence.

Every time you keep a promise to yourself, you strengthen it.

Every time you do something uncomfortable, you strengthen it.

Every time you make a mistake and recover, you strengthen it.

Eventually, you stop asking:

"Can I do this?"

And start thinking:

"Whatever happens, I'll work it out."

That's a very different kind of confidence.

It's quieter.

More resilient.

And far harder to shake.

Don't wait to feel confident. Build a relationship with yourself that you can rely on.”

One more thing

Tomorrow night I'm bringing the live set to SiZE at The Volks in Brighton, alongside Christian Smith and a wicked lineup.

I've been putting a lot into developing this show over the last year, so I'm really looking forward to finally bringing it to this one.

If you're heading down, come and say hello. And if you're still deciding what to do with your Friday night, tickets are available here: [Skiddle]

Until next week
