Things to make you go Mmmm…

"To encourage creativity by sharing more inspiration than any electronic artist.”

Three thoughts for your creativity and one on mine.

3 for you:

Take time for yourself.

"Go out for a walk. It doesn't have to be a romantic walk in the park, spring at its most spectacular moment, flowers and smells and outstanding poetical imagery smoothly transferring you into another world. It doesn't have to be a walk during which you'll have multiple life epiphanies and discover meanings no other brain ever managed to encounter. Do not be afraid of spending quality time by yourself. Find meaning or don't find meaning but "steal" some time and give it freely and exclusively to your own self. Opt for privacy and solitude. That doesn't make you antisocial or cause you to reject the rest of the world. But you need to breathe. And you need to be." - Albert Camus

Think big.

“Creativity is ‘thinking writ large’” - Herbert Simon

Practice practice practice.

“The ability to automate component skills is a key factor in the performance of many complex tasks, and is one of the reasons why we can’t simply perform at an expert level merely from watching someone else do it.” - Scott H. Young

1 from me

Preparation Makes You Brave.

“People often think confidence appears first.

That the brave ones just have it - some natural spark that lets them walk into the unknown without flinching.

But most confidence isn’t magic.

It’s built quietly, earlier, when no one is watching.

Preparation is what turns fear into something you can hold instead of something that controls you.

When you prepare, the unknown becomes smaller.

You’ve rehearsed the moves.

You’ve explored the edges.

You’ve already met the worst-case scenario in your head and made peace with it.

So when the moment comes, you’re not trying to be fearless.

You’re simply ready.

Preparation doesn’t remove uncertainty - it gives you enough grounding to walk through it anyway.

Bravery isn’t loud.

It’s not bravado.

It’s the calm that comes from knowing you’ve done the work.

Do the groundwork.

Lay the foundations.

Stack the small reps.

And when the time comes to step forward, you won’t have to talk yourself into courage.

You’ll already be standing in it.”

PS: Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about environment and momentum. If you’ve found a scene, space, or routine that’s helping you grow, I’d love to hear about it.
